Sustainable Education for Children
Habits formed in the early years often last a lifetime, which is why introducing them as early as possible is so important. Children’s ability to learn during these years is greater than at any other stage of life, so we should never underestimate how much they absorb simply by watching adults role-model sustainable behaviours and by taking part in meaningful activities within a sustainable environment.
Sustainability is rooted in key values and an underlying ethos, which can be linked to social, financial and environmental responsibility, as well as to children’s rights.
