Fine motor week -

This week has been all about fine motor skills ! These skills are implemented in children’s everyday play and tasks. We have been encouraging babies to read books, put small puzzles together, press buttons on the noise machines, use sensory poppets all to work their finger muscles! All of the children’s favourite thing to do with the adults this week was reading stories! We used the paper back story books to encourage more focus on turning the pages and all of the children really took their time with this.

Some extra activities we completed this week are : mark making tuff tray! We used our fingers to make lines in the flour in different directions and patterns.

Some baby room reminders :

  • Doors open at 8am and close at 5pm please ensure your children are picked up latest 5pm to ensure smooth transitions and meeting school timings💜

  • Fruit in pack lunch = please cut up any fruit going into your child’s bag, safe small pieces are best for your babies ! If you are unsure of the ways which babies fruit should or could be cut we are happy to help with advice we are trained on !

Next weeks theme = Pirates ! ⭐️
