🎵 Songs we love 🎵
This week has been all about nursery rhymes! All of our bear cubs have a huge passion for music, dance and singing, this made this week so much fun and so lively. Using all of the favourites in our room we created activities and trays and of course sung the songs with actions🌟
Heres what we got up to in our busy week :
The turtle song tray = a tray based on Turtle Tiny Tim in the bath tub! We used visuals and a language rich environment for the babies to sing the songs with actions, use the toys symbolising the song and visual images too!
Pat-a-cake tray = a very messy tray for our babies this week as we use flour, hot chocolate powder, shaving foam, spoons, cupcakes cases and tray and playdough with cutters to make our own cakes while of course listening and singing the song! Everyone did amazing sharing while doing this activity💜
Musical chairs = in our high chair focus activity (short ten minute activities) we used musical instruments alongside nursery rhymes to create a beat and try to stay in time with our teachers ! The babies loved making as much noise as possible while singing the songs 👏🏻
Itsy gutsy spider tray = a visual tray with water play as we made the rain come down on mr spider ! 🕷️
Humpty Dumptys wall = using our outdoor blocks we created the wall Humpty Dumpty fell off ! We made it taller and taller and the children tried to break the teachers walls too!
Old McDonald had a farm = a basic farm tray for the babies to listen to the song sung by teachers and correlate the animal name and sound to the toy animal! Lots of our babies were able to do this and are becoming so strong at recognising animals and their features/sounds 🐷
This week has been so much fun and we can’t believe we’re in the final three months of this school year! We’re all so honoured to be on these journeys with you and your littles 💜
Next weeks theme = zoo and safari 🦁
Thankyou,
Miss Abby, Miss Chloe, Miss Bethany 🐻
