Last week was so much fun to learn and explore with each other ! Our babies have experienced a new type of visual learning using our projector to create a more immersive learning experience ☺️

Here is some of the fun activities we got up to last week:

Planet watching = using our immersive visuals we began (adult led) pointing out planets among the galaxy and stars we can see in the background video. The babies began copying and pointing out the planets with us. For our older bears we also researched which planets we saw and encouraged a language rich environment by attempting to say and repeat the names of the planets !
Space tuff tray = a rice based tuff tray is always a favourite in baby bears and is amazing for fine motor practise. Sprinkling the rice around the tray and mark making in the tray is always promoted ! Alongside the rice we had many visuals based on space like planets and astronauts.
Baby walks = now the weather is clearing and it’s not so cold for the bubbas, our baby walks are coming back into play ! The babies were so excited to get out and explore the sights around our area.
Star printing = using a star shape cutter and some yellow paint we used our gross motor skills to lift and print a star shape onto the paper ! This was then left to dry and put in our folders to collect our work over the year !
Fizzing moon rocks = we were lucky enough to watch some fizzing moon rocks disintegrate into water ! This was a new experience for the babies and they were very fascinated by them while repeating words like “bubbles” and “moon”!
On the moon tuff tray = recreating a small area of the moon and dark surrounding the babies got to play with some oats
which is a favourite for scooping and pouring practise! This is exactly what we did to match their interests.
